A wise mechanic will tell one not to buy a damaged, used car. And a wise prosecutor will also tell one not to post photos of said car on social media and then file an insurance claim. A Utah man and used-car consumer was charged with insurance fraud in Utah County, Utah, after his insurer found photos on social media that showed he had bought a car already damaged, ABC4 News reported Wednesday.According to court documents, police were contacted by an agent with American Family Insurance who said Jason Doyle Cook had filed a June 2018 claim on damage to his 1995 Ford F350, alleging that he collided with a wood post and a large tire that was in the middle of the freeway, the station reported.
