Nebraskans are dealing with historic flooding across much of central and eastern part of our state. Kearney Police said emergency crews had to respond to two separate incidents Wednesday night north of Kearney. According to a National Weather Service storm report, there were two instances of vehicles swept into the wood river in vicinity of 17th Avenue and 92nd Street requiring water rescues. One person was taken to the hospital. The report goes on to say that five other water rescues happened throughout Buffalo County between 9 p.m. and midnight. In Howard County, the 911 call center there is reporting Thursday morning that travel there is impossible in the town of Dannebrog due to 5 to 6 feet of water in town.
