Two Dead After Fiery Cargo Plane Crash In Ohio

A cargo plane crashed near an Ohio airport early Wednesday, killing two people, officials said.

The plane struck several unoccupied vehicles, and the crash ignited a fire, according to the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority.

The plane was approaching the airport when it went down at 2:37 a.m. ET on a road in Monclova, Ohio, just east of Toledo Express Airport.

A port authority spokesperson confirmed to CBS News two people died in the crash, and the Federal Aviation Administration said only two people were on the aircraft.

A port authority police official told CBS News the plane was "fully engulfed."
