One person was seriously injured Monday in a 50-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Iowa.
Iowa State Patrol spokesman Sgt. Alex Dinkla did not release any other details of what caused the crash but said police are still accounting for all vehicles involved.
The crash led to blocked highway lanes for several hours Monday, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
There were multiple wrecks Monday after snow moved through the area and caused slippery roads across central Iowa. A cold front moved into Central Iowa and brought windy conditions with sometimes heavy snow.
