According to a recently released report, fatal accidents rose by 11 percent from 2019 to 2020.
The report focused on a ValuePenguin study that examined fatal motorcycle crashes for the five years starting in 2016, the latest available data.
Riders are more than twice as likely to be involved in a deadly accident as other vehicle operators. It also represents an increase of more than double the 5 percent that it had been between the start and end of that time period.
According to the report, speeding was a factor in one in every three deadly motorcycle accidents that occurred during that time span.
