Liberty Mutual Launches ProShield for Enhanced Management Liability Coverage

Liberty Mutual has unveiled ProShield, a comprehensive package aimed at providing private companies and non-profits with streamlined access to critical management liability coverages. Announced on January 17, 2024, ProShield consolidates Directors & Officers, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary, and Crime coverages into a singular policy form. This innovation significantly simplifies the coverage process by eliminating the need for over 30 endorsements, offering a more efficient solution for both wholesale and retail brokers.

Paul Larson, President of Financial Lines at Liberty Mutual Global Risk Solutions, emphasized ProShield’s role in addressing the complex Management Liability risks that private entities and non-profits encounter. The introduction of ProShield is a reflection of Liberty Mutual’s ongoing commitment to enhance its Financial Lines offerings.

In conjunction with the launch of ProShield, Liberty Mutual announced the appointment of Brent Tan as the Senior Director of Financial Lines Underwriting. Tan’s role, a new addition to the company, focuses on product development within financial lines, aiming to establish Liberty Mutual as a market leader in this segment. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as Senior Vice President at CNA Specialty and spent 15 years at Chubb Specialty in various underwriting positions.

These strategic moves, including the appointment of Paul Larson last February to drive profitability and growth in Professional Liability, Management Liability, Cyber, and other Financial Lines solutions, signify Liberty Mutual’s dedication to strengthening and expanding its presence in the Financial Lines sector.
