NYACT Rolls Out Comprehensive 2024 Training Schedule to Combat Insurance Fraud and Vehicle Crime

The New York Anti Car Theft and Fraud Association (NYACT) has unveiled its comprehensive schedule for law enforcement and insurance special investigations unit training in 2024, addressing the rising tide of vehicle crime and insurance fraud. Partnering with the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), New York State Chapter of Special Investigations Units, Inc., and various state departments, including the New York State Police, the initiative aims to bolster the capabilities of professionals on the front lines of fraud prevention and investigation.

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, NYACT Board of Directors’ Chair Nichole Soriano emphasized the increasing necessity for advanced training to combat the surge in fraudulent claims and auto crime. The 2024 agenda includes exclusive events such as a Vehicle Crimes Investigation Course, Joint NYACT - NICB Medical Fraud Training, a Technology Summit, and specialized training in workers’ compensation fraud, all designed to equip attendees with cutting-edge skills and tactics for both solving and preventing crimes.

NYACT’s mission, solidified through decades of dedicated service since 1980, focuses on offering premier training and networking opportunities to law enforcement and insurance professionals across New York state.
