90 Crashes Due to Black Ice In Rhode Island

Police were busy late Monday night into Tuesday morning responding to calls for help and issues with icy conditions. Black ice had crews bringing out the salt trucks in areas of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Areas of freezing drizzle will lead to icy roads and walkways. With temperatures flirting with freezing, Rhode Island State Police are urging drivers to slow their speed. There’s been approximately 90 crashes statewide. According to Massachusetts State Police, there has been about 20-30 accidents, with no injuries, just in the Dartmouth area.
