Insurance companies that are still adjusting claims related to Hurricane Ivan have until March 25th to pay policyholders or they must explain why those claims have not been paid to Alabama Insurance Commissioner Walter Bell. The decision stems from the meeting that agency officials had with residents and business owners and their frustration over the duration the claims process has taken since the massive September storm hit the state.
