Allstate results miss analyst estimates

Allstate Corp. reported quarterly results that missed analyst expectations on Wednesday as the company was hit by big catastrophe losses and more-frequent auto insurance claims.
Allstate shares dropped 5.1% to $30.70 in after-hours action on Wednesday.
