Another round of firefighters head to Posey Co., Ind. grain bin fire

Wednesday, July 9th, 2014 Property

German Township Fire crews are still working a fire that’s been burning for over 30 hours. It broke out around 7:30 Monday night at Abengoa, an ethanol plant in the 8900 block of West Franklin Road. Fire crews say they are making progress putting out piles of burning corn. Firefighters have apparently been cutting holes in the grain bin to get water and foam inside. No word yet on what caused the fire. The Red Cross has been helping the dozens of firefighters who have been working in shifts.
