Perhaps this famous movie line sums up the frustrating and oftentimes strained relationship between the insurer's claims personnel and outside legal counsel when it comes to managing the claims litigation process to an acceptable conclusion for all-insured, insurer, and attorney. It seems that all parties have the same objective, yet a breakdown in communication and lack of a collaborative effort frequently lead to an atmosphere of distrust, an unnecessarily lengthy litigation process, and the scrutiny of outside auditors. Such a scenario adds yet another player and the potential for increased liability. Can the answer to this nagging problem be found through the use of the Internet as the communication medium?
