Auto Salvage Workers Inadvertently Spark Massive Fire

Thursday, April 30th, 2015 Property Salvage

Firefighters spent hours putting out a massive fire at an auto-salvage yard Wednesday. Crews were called about 1 p.m. Wednesday to Liberty U Pull, at 1101 Old 210 Hwy. The building was evacuated and no one was hurt. "They were working on a car inside the business and during that time something occurred that caused the vehicle to catch fire and then it quickly spread," Fire Chief Mike Snider said. "We had multiple hazards inside the business itself." Smoke billowed miles into the air. The fire led to traffic issues.
