Building code legislation seen by NAMIC as vital to protecting property
Monday, December 17th, 2007 Legislation & Regulation PropertyThe National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies today urged members of Congress to support H.R. 4461, the Community Building Code Administration Grant Act of 2007, which was introduced late last night. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Dennis Moore, D-Kan., would provide $100 million for Community Development Block Grant funds to help local officials enforce building codes.
