Bus Catches Fire On DC Beltway In Virginia
Thursday, May 14th, 2015 AutoFire forced bus passengers onto the lanes of Interstate 495 in Springfield Thursday. The fire was reported around 6 a.m. along the inner loop near the Braddock Road exit. Emergency crews had closed all lanes of traffic for about an hour. Two lanes were opened to traffic around 7 a.m. No injuries have been reported at this time. A second bus was called to transport the stranded travelers. It is unclear at this time what caused the fire.
