Car Plows Through Gym In Torrance, 4 Patrons Injured

At least four people were hospitalized with serious injuries Wednesday evening after a car plowed through a Planet Fitness gym in Torrance, police said. The crash occurred just before 5 p.m. at the gym located in the 20000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard. The car crashed through a wall of glass at the front of the building and didn’t stop until it hit the back of the gym, according to the Torrance Police Department. Video from the scene showed the injured patrons being removed from the building on stretchers and loaded into waiting ambulances.
