Car Rolls after Hitting Dead Bear on Oregon Highway

A Boise couple was injured after their vehicle drove over a dead bear along Interstate-84 in Oregon over the weekend. Oregon State Police says Brent Cartwright was driving near Pendleton when he made a lane change to avoid some debris in the road in the right lane. In doing so, however, OSP says Cartwright’s vehicle struck a bear that had been previously hit by a vehicle. Cartwright lost control of the vehicle, which rolled into the center media. The family’s dog died in the crash, however.
