Central Pennsylvania Welding Fire Destroys Truck Shop, Causes $1.2M In Damage

A welding fire set off a two-alarm blaze Tuesday afternoon that destroyed a central Pennsylvania truck shop and caused $1.2 million worth of damage. More than 150 firefighters responded to Dutch Transport’s facility at 154 Orlan Road in New Holland, Lancaster County, according to Garden Spot Fire Rescue. Two tractor trailers, pallets of equipment, machinery and tools were destroyed in the fire, according to first responders. The fire, which broke out around noon Tuesday, was under control by 2:05 p.m.
