Claims Settlement For Carnival Accident Likely To Take Years

Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 Liability Litigation

Officials continue the investigation into Saturday’s accident at the Cinco de Mayo Festival that left 11-year-old Elizabeth Gilreath critically injured. On Saturday, Gilreath’s hair got caught in the spinning mechanism of the ride, ripping off part of her scalp. With something this severe, it seems inevitable a claim or claims will be filed. A lot of things will go into play: what the investigation reveals, how carnival staff reacted, medical bills, and also the suffering this girl faced. The King’s Crown Ride at Omaha’s Cinco de Mayo festival started out fun as video captures Elizabeth Gilreath smiling from her seat.
