Monday, April 16th, 2007 — A jury is set to decide whether Allstate Insurance Co. owes a Slidell couple hundreds of thousands of dollars for damage to their home from Hurricane Katrina, only the second such case to be heard in New Orleans federal court since the Aug. 29, 2005, storm. Closing arguments were set for Monday in the trial for a lawsuit that Allstate policyholders Robert and Merryl Weiss filed against the Northbrook, Ill.-based insurer.
