Colorado weather is not always kind to its residents. When it isn’t hail battering homes, denting cars and shattering glass - like during last month’s major storm - it’s Monday’s river of water and hail rushing down streets, washing away structures, clogging drainage systems, tearing down fences, flooding homes and leaving a path of destruction in its wake. In the aftermath, feet of lingering hail and scattered debris create a scene reminiscent of a hurricane, not a Colorado Springs rainstorm.
