D.C. Man Charged With Intentionally Igniting Car

A District of Columbia man is charged with intentionally setting fire to his car in Maryland in an apparent case of insurance fraud. The fire marshal’s office says Kevin Leon Dyer faces charges of second-degree arson and malicious burning with the intent to commit fraud. Authorities say a 2010 Ford Focus belonging to Dyer was found destroyed by fire July 23 in the Indian Head Rail Trail parking lot in Charles County.
