Two recent business alliances set up between search engine software developers and insurance groups are helping to provide adjusters and investigators with better access to Internet-based claim analysis tools.

Alta Analytics, a software company based in Westerville, Ohio, formed an alliance in July with New York City-based Insurance Services Office (ISO) to "allow property/casualty insurers to use the combined resources of Alta's NetMap for Claims and the ISO ClaimSearch database," according to ISO's Christopher Guidette.

On a similar note, Policy Management Systems Corp. (PMSC), based in Columbia, S.C., entered into a business relationship last month with InfoGlide Corp. of Austin, Texas.
