Detroit Still Inundated with Flood Claims

Topping even the polar vortex winter storms that hit Michigan earlier this year, the Detroit flood was one of the worst single natural disasters to hit Southeast Michigan in recent memory, according to several insurance experts and restoration contractors. Many companies are bringing in extra help to deal with call volumes and claims, and report no slowdown in work since the initial claims began the day after the Aug. 11 storm.
