Devastation ... again: Flood task force needed in coalfields

Horrific flash flooding last weekend has once again resulted in destruction across southern West Virginia's coalfield counties. Hundreds of homes were damaged. Privately-owned bridges were destroyed. Large sections of state roads washed away. As in the aftermath of the historic July 2001 floods, many families across McDowell and other counties must now clean up and rebuild. It's a cycle we have witnessed all too frequently in the past decade.
