Authorities say a driver was killed when the semitractor-trailer he was driving fell from a Capital Beltway overpass onto a parkway in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C. Friday. Maryland State Police say the driver lost control on the outer loop of the beltway. The truck, carrying paper products, crashed through a guardrail and landed on the Suitland Parkway below. Prince George’s County Fire & EMS officials say the driver has died. Photos from the Fire Department show the truck mangled and overturned. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
