According to a recent insurance survey, drivers that are using their cellular phones while operating a motor vehicle are four times as likely to get into a crash that can cause serious injuries that would send them to the hospital than those drivers not using a mobile phone, and research by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety suggests that using a hands-free device for a cellular phone does not improve driver safety.
