Crews were cleaning up after a car slammed into a Salvation Army building in Phoenix early Wednesday morning. The building at 27th Avenue and Washington Street was not occupied when the blue Toyota sedan plowed into the building's doors about 3:30 a.m., however, people nearby heard the crash. "We were actually just working and we heard this sound and we're like what is that and we heard a thunk and we ran out here and realized the guy had ran into the building," said Brandy Mitchell, who works at the taxi cab company next door.
