Electrical Fire New Year’s Week Leaves Family Homeless
Monday, January 4th, 2016 PropertyA family’s home was destroyed in a New Year’s week fire and Excelsior Springs residents are rallying around the now-homeless family. The Harness family escaped their home with basically the clothes on their backs after the electrical fire blazed Monday night. Brandi Harness, the family’s matriarch, said each family member has two or three outfits and they are rotating them. It’s been a difficult few days, but the family is overwhelmed by the support. "It was just scary," Anna Harness said.
