Expert Tips on Floor Replacement

Thursday, February 15th, 2001 Property

Do you find flooring claims confusing? What price is the right one to pay for carpet? Are files staying open longer than you want because of flooring claims? Most interior property claims will involve flooring of one type or another. The more you know about floors and their restoration characteristics, the better (and faster) you will be able to adjust the claim. One of two questions will need to be answered in flooring claims: 1) Is the flooring salvageable? 2) If not, what is the like-kind-and-quality value of the replacement floor? In most situations your professional restoration contractor can help you determine if a floor is salvageable or not. In my years as a restoration professional, we regularly received training on the salvageability of flooring, especially carpet and hardwood.
