Charlotte firefighters say a man is expected to be okay after a turn of the ignition in his vehicle ignited an explosion and fire Friday morning. They say the man was heading out for work around 5:50 Monday morning on the 10100 block of Ashley Farm Drive near Matthews. Neighbors described it as a small explosion and heard a loud pop as all the windows in the house shattered. He apparently started his vehicle in his garage inside the house.
