Tuesday, August 19th, 2014 Property

Some 13,000 households and businesses in central California received evacuation orders as an out-of-control wildfire approached a foothill community near Yosemite National Park. Authorities also declared a local state of emergency in Madera County late Monday. Four hotels in the community of Oakhurst about 16 miles from an entrance to Yosemite were evacuated and Tuesday classes have been canceled for most of the Yosemite Unified School District. The 1,200-acre blaze burned at least two structures but it wasn’t immediately clear what they were, officials said.
