FC&S: Toughest CGL Policy Exclusions

I’m going to give you the questions—but you’ll have to wait for the answers (or decide them for yourselves). That’s because until I return from the ACE Conference, put on by Claims magazine (a sibling publication of National Underwriter and FC&S), I’m not sure of the answers. At ACE, an annual conference and trade show for adjusters and other insurance pros, two of the FC&S coverage gurus (Managing Editor David Thamann and Associate Editor Diana Reitz) and myself are heading into Phoenix with a holsterful of troublesome contract questions. We’re talking about the toughest exclusions in the commercial general liability policy—the provisions that seem to give rise to the most disputes between insurers and insureds and those that give insurance professionals stomach problems.
