Friday, May 13th, 2005 — The governor of Florida, Jeb Bush urged homeowner and business owners to read and understand the provisions in their insurance policies so they can understand their vulnerabilities and have an evacuation plan ready. Governor Bush quipped about a new requirement in SB 1486 that would require homeowner policies to be written in lamen language, instead telling residents and business owners to read their policy and to make sure that they understand it.
