Flooding Forces Evacuations In Bossier Parish, Louisiana

Bossier Parish deputies are evacuating homes in the Tall Timbers subdivision as flash flooding continues. So far, 24 homes have been evacuated, said Lt. Bill Davis, a Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman. Tuesday night, officers evacuated about 30 homes in the Fox Chase Subdivision in Haughton. Overnight, they also rescued stranded drivers, some by boat.
Through 6:30 this morning, about 75 homes and vehicles were affected by flooding, Davis said. Haughton Police Department officers and Bossier Sheriff’’s Office deputies are using boats and high water vehicles to help residents evacuate on Amberwood Dr., Alex Way and Cross Dr.
