Thursday, February 17th, 2005 — The Joint Select Committee on Hurricane Insurance today released its preliminary report on the state’s property insurance market following in the wake of last year’s hurricane season and the 23 page report lists 20 possible recommendations covering issues such as hurricane deductibles and consumer disclosures, the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, hurricane mitigation and hurricane loss models.
