Federal climate forecasters predicted Monday that this will be another bruising Atlantic hurricane season and that as many as 15 tropical storms with up to nine hurricanes are expected to strike the east coast of the country. Their official outlook is for 12 to 15 tropical storms with 7 to 9 of them becoming hurricanes and 3 to 5 like those that struck Florida in 2004. The annual forecast comes as Florida continues to rebuild after four hurricanes struck the state last year, killing dozens of people, causing billions of dollars in damage, and still leaving many homeowners in either temporary of government subsidized housing.
