Four vehicles destroyed in fire at Volvo Powertrain

Three trucks and a garbage-hauling vehicle were destroyed Monday morning at Volvo Powertrain north of Hagerstown, according to authorities. It is unclear what started the fire, which was reported at 6:32 a.m. at the 13302 Pennsylvania Ave. site, fire officials said. The blaze was discovered by an employee, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office. The three damaged trucks were tractor sections of tractor-trailer rigs, said firefighter Kirk Mongan of the Longmeadow Volunteer Fire Co.
