Four Workers Burned in Kansas Refinery Fire

A fire in at the Coffeyville, Kansas oil refinery sent four workers to the hospital early Tuesday.
Coffeyville city manager Gary Bradley says the city’s fire department was sent to the Coffeyville Resources refinery just before 12:30 a.m. after a pump at the facility caught fire. He says four workers suffering burns and were taken to Coffeyville’s hospital. Bradley says one of those injured was in serious condition. Bradley says the fire department provided backup for the refinery’s emergency response team and helped care for the injured.
