The family of Jaswinder Singh, who was killed during a mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, and several survivors of the incident, have filed a federal lawsuit against the companies involved in the manufacturing, marketing, and sale of the high-capacity magazine used by the gunman.

The lawsuit alleges that the companies recklessly marketed and sold their products, without safeguards, to impulsive young men at risk of violence. The shooting, which occurred on April 15, 2021, resulted in the death of eight people and several injuries.

The lawsuit, which seeks at least $75,000 for each plaintiff and a jury trial, was filed in the US District Court in the Western District of New York. The defendants include American Tactical Inc., its president, and its director of marketing and purchasing, as well as Schmeisser GmbH, a German firearms manufacturer, and 365 Plus d.o.o., a Slovenian company that produces and distributes firearms accessories and tactical equipment.

The complaint alleges that the companies were involved in the manufacturing, marketing, and sale of the 60-round high-capacity magazines that have been used in multiple mass shootings, including the incident in question.

The complaint says that American Tactical promoted marketing videos that show men dressed in tactical vests, similar to what the gunman wore during the shooting, firing a constant flood of bullets at invisible targets.
