Beginning Nov. 1, 2010, all applicants for an insurance license who are residents of Hawaii must submit a full set of fingerprints as a requirement of licensing. If the applicant is required to take a licensing exam, the applicant may submit the fingerprints after they earn a passing score. Residents with active licenses are not affected, the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Insurance Division said.
