Herd of deer damage Indiana shopping plaza

Tuesday, February 26th, 2013 Property

A herd of deer wreaked havoc on a southern Indiana shopping plaza, breaking glass windows and causing panic among some shoppers. During the incident, two deer died - one struck by a car, another after running into a glass storefront. Firefighters from the Harrison County Fire Department spent time Saturday afternoon hosing off the sidewalk and sweeping up broken glass. "We got called to several deer in the parking lot (that were) out of control," said Lt. Chris Walden of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
