The tornado that blew through northern High Point eight days ago caused just under $10 million in damage and has cost the city over a million dollars, according to estimates released by the city Monday. City Manager Strib Boynton said it was unlikely the city would qualify for federal aid but would probably qualify for assistance from the state and from the Small Business Administration.
