Thursday, January 26th, 2017 Auto Fraud

A former Juanita High School security guard and coach pleaded guilty to first-degree theft stemming from a string of fraudulent insurance claims involving Juanita High parents, students and teachers. Brad Burmester, 51, of Vancouver, filed 15 false claims for windshield or window repairs through his business Alligator Auto Glass, which he operated out of his Kirkland home. The first claim was on Aug. 1, 2015 and the last on Feb. 5, 2016. An investigation by Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler’s Criminal Investigations Unit found Burmester had access to insurance and vehicle information required for students to obtain a parking pass.
