Thursday, January 13th, 2011 — Australia’s second largest general insurer IAG says claims stemming from floods in south-east Queensland in the last fortnight are double the number of those made during the state’s wild Christmas weather. Insurance Australia Group (IAG) said on Thursday it had so far received about 2400 claims relating to Queensland’s severe weather since January 1.
