Insurance claims mount from storm damage

Wisconsin insurance adjusters are swamped with damage claims from Sunday’s tornadoes and severe thunderstorms. In Merrill, the headquarters of Church Mutual Insurance just barely escaped the twister that landed there. And by noon yesterday, it got 150 claims on homeowners’ policies in Lincoln and Marathon counties. Patrick Moreland says Church Mutual expects to pay over $2-million in claims. American Family Insurance of Madison expects to get around seven-thousand home-and-auto damage claims from the Merrill, Fox Valley, and La Crosse areas.
