A couple whose home was devastated when Hurricane Katrina ripped holes in its roof paid their premiums on time, but their insurance company failed to properly or promptly pay their claim for damages, a lawyer for the couple said Monday. The insurer disputes the extent of the wind damage to the Tomlinsons’ home and accuses the couple of misrepresenting parts of their claim.
