Friday, June 3rd, 2016 Property

Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire that gutted a home on Woodplot Road Thursday night, fire officials at the scene said Friday morning. The fire at 6 Woodplot Road destroyed the large home in Loudonville. The blaze roared through the house for several hours in the evening, but no one was injured, according to fire officials. The report of the fire was called in at 8 p.m., Colonie Fire Coordinator Michael Romano said. Because there were no occupants within, Romano said teams were pursuing a defensive attack, that is, firefighters were not sent inside.
