Lynch seeks disaster declaration in tornado’s wake
Tuesday, July 29th, 2008 Auto Catastrophe PropertyGov. John Lynch asked President Bush to declare that the state "suffered a major disaster" and make individuals who suffered losses eligible for federal disaster aid. Lynch met privately in Concord with his top advisers, state volunteer disaster relief agency heads, and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Regional 1 Director Arthur Cleaves, before meeting local emergency officials and lawmakers for another tour of the tornado-stricken area.
