Friday, April 10th, 2009 — Officials with the Florida Department of Transportation say they expect the Interstate 10 bridges over the swollen Suwannee River will remain open. But Madison County emergency-management officials warned Thursday that flooding is currently at its highest level in 100 years. If the river reaches the forecasted crest, it will be considered a 500-year event.
